Pecanman will's Health
Original Message   Feb 4, 2005 9:28 pm
My Father  who posts on this forum as Pecanman will wanted me to let everyone know that this past week he suffered a Heart Attack. He is in ICU with 4 blockages and Pnemonia.  He loves this forum and would appreciate your prayers. He is in very serious condition and will be having By pass surgey this Monday.

I am broken hearted.

You're father is a great man and one that I respect as high as up as respect can go.

You tell my friend Will that I love him and he has my deepest prayers. He is a strong man and strong man in God.

Thank you for telling us and tell your dad he needs not to worry about us, we are there with him in spirit!

If you have the opportunity to provide an update, I would appreciate you taking the time but, please, do not go out of your way. If there is anything we as a group can do, please let us know.

Will is great man with a lot of knowledge.  I will add him to my prayer list, and hope for him to have a full recovery to come back posting again.   As Will says, maybe the good lord watch over us all and him.

Hello Pecanmanwill's son (you didn't tell us your name),

Thank you for letting us know about your dad Will. May the Lord hold him in his palm as he goes through surgery and the healing process. Godspeed to him. He will be in our prayers. If there is anything we can do, please don't hesistate to ask.

We would appreciate it if you could provide us an address to which we could send at least a get well card. You could probably email it to one of the mods and they could send it to interested forum members to avoid posting it on the web.

All the best!

I could say it any better than iot's already been said.  Pecan Jr, you tell Will we're all pulling and praying for him, and we'll be here waiting when he gets better and comes back.  I've been down that road with my father, and will hold you and yours in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm very sorry to hear bout Will's health. I hope he recovers well from the operation. The best I can say about the by-pass operation is that the procedure is almost routine nowadays & afterwards he'll feel better than he has in years, that is of course once he gets pass the recovery from the actual surgery.

Pecanman's son,

The best thing you can do is visit him often & keep his spirits up. I just had the same procedure done, please tell Will that he'll feel better every day after the surgery & even much better once they get him out of the ICU (post-operative).

Marshall,

Sorry I never got you that uodate on my 55" DLP TV, but I hope you understand. Anyway, I apologize about hijacking Will's thread here.

Unfortunately Will is not young but believe it or not this is in his favor due to the developement of collateral blood circulation that developes as we age in the heart as vessel occlusion happens to everyone.  That said IF he ends up with quadruple bypass that is serious surgery with no complications regardless of his pre surgical condition.  With pnuemonia complicating things prior to the procedure pending the type of bacteria it is or whether or not it is even viral the water becomes as muddy as a New Orleans swamp....

We can only pray  and wait and hope it all works out...

My grandfather was in his early 80s when he had a quadruple bypass as well and he came through it very well.  He was also very active like Will (still blew out his own driveway that was a good 1/4 mile long, sidewalks, etc.).  They can do amazing things now for the heart...and amazing things with prayers as well.

My prayers are still with you Will.

Thanks, everyone for your prayers and thoughts for my Father. I apologize for not responding back sooner but have had very little time for internet.  He had his By pass surgery moved to this past Tuesday. He did not have Pnemonia but congestion around his heart and in his lungs.

My Father  had 4 Bypasses, plus a 80% blockage in a neck artery. He is doing great and is recovering real good. He is now in a regular room and no longer in intensive care. If he keeps improving we hope he can come home this Monday. Maybe by this time next week he can be back on the forum.

Thank you so much for your prayers and thoughts.

It is great to wake up to such good news!

Will, I wish you a speedy and comfortable recovery.  Glad to hear they had a rebuild kit for you!!

Looking forward to your return, you're in our  continued prayers.

Emmo

PS   If bad things really do come in threes, I'm hoping our "family" is safe for awhile. Fred, Whyme and now Will's accidents/illnesses should hopefully keep the rest of us safe a little longer.

Get well Will, you have been missed.

Very happy to hear that he is doing well. With all new plumbing, he should be good to go for a long time. I will continue to pray for his quick recovery.

Will,

Glad to hear the re-tubing work went so well.

Hope you'll be up to full steam in no time, and all ahead full into the pecan orchards.

Dave...

I couldn't have said it any better.  I'm so happy to hear that your dad is recuperating well, and came through alright.   Now you and your family can take a big sigh of relief !    I'm sure that  you know now is the time to let folks  know you love them.

As my mother used to say  : "If you want to give me flowers, do it now, while I can see and smell them. "

Good luck,and God bless!

Hey Pecan Jr..  He is in our thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.  Speaking or recovery,  They try an get you up and walking real fast after those oper's.  So hide the snowblower.   unless he promises just to push it around a little in a heated garage, not runnin of course.

Just real quick here and sry to bother u ,  but as I was skimming the thread,  think you said he would SB a 1/4 mile drive.

Wew, sounds like fun.  Can you tell a little about that,  like paved or unpaved, was it with a riding tractor,  why not a plow etc.  Not saying that I would use a plow either as SB is more fun.    but prob would have both.  How many SB did he go thru, what kind etc,  anything you can mention would be interesting.

I got an e-mail from Will 3 days ago, he said he would be back as soon as he could and was shooting for this weekend, possibly. He thanked everyone for their thoughts and said it meant more to him than we know. I didn't post this because I wanted to let Will speak for himself but, I guess it's best to let everyone know he is doing well and not to be quite as concerned.

Hope to see you soon Will!
