Hello,

Just adjust the skid shoes down to lift the auger housing up as high as it will go for the first two good storms.  This will allow a base layer of snow to freeze over the gravel.  Once the base is there you can raise your skid shoes and drop the housing and let it scrape the rest of the season.

Hello Herb and welcome,

Dave in CT has a BCS tractor and I believe has the single stage snowthrower attachement and as I recalled said it was a tremendous performer.  I am sure he will be along to let you know his thoughts.

Bob if you gut tells you based upon your experiences with the drive that you need to go with the larger machine and you can afford it then by all means go for it....

Nice choice BTW and yes please post pics if you can and stay in touch and tell us how the new big dog on the block does lol.....
