Hi Dave. Yes, that is snow in the moustache, but it's got a little white in it anyway. I prefer to say it's blonde. LOL It really caked on there today.
Jogo, I get enough distance from mine, but yours looks awesome. That's half the fun, watching the "plumes" of snow fly out of the machine, until it blasts us in the face. Your daughter took really good pics for just learning the camera.
After I parked the blower I took the tractor out to push a couple piles of snow. I didn't want it to feel neglected. LOL

Jogo, Vangellis: Nice work guys! Great action shots of those machines. Makes me envious. The storm barely made it here, and all we got was less than 2 inches.

OK, not the best snowblower pics but here we go..... Me taking care of the priorities and having coffee first.... Then getting prepared as it was 9 degrees... Now outside we go, these pics are not that great the wife took them and she was not in a coat and she was in a rush.... I'm trying to give a thumbs up here but the pic is a little blurry which is a bummer as I thought it would look pretty cool... The dogs and my youngest two kids were out enjoying it also.... Thats about it for pics this day. Overall a good day except that I had to go to work lol... C

Chris, that last picture. What are those three mounds sticking up into a point? Did you clear that path with just one pass? I am assuming the reason for two different types of gloves is for better finger movement? Otherwise, grand pictures everybody!

Man, thought I posted here already but it didn't show. Don't know where it went but I hope it didn't hit the pool room. Hey Richie, I definitely wouldn't laugh at your terrorist mask as I wear the same kind of head gear (until I'm burnin' up out there then the hat and coat come off). No goggles, although that's a pretty damn good idea. If they work for skiing they would sure work for throwing. I've never been called a terrorist, but I did have one goofball ask me if I was a ninja, so I halved him with the steel blade of my samurai snow shovel. I think that answerd his question. JOGO, fantastic "hang time" (as said on another post). No doubt you are the envy of the neighborhood!!! Chris, great pictures! You definately know how to get away from work. My older son has the same hat your son has. Every time I he wears it I need to listen to the following...My hat has 3 corners, three corners has my hat, if my hat had not three corners then-it wouldn't be my hat!(AJace-3 cones=driveway lights maybe?) Take care, Walt

Chris, In case you are talking about my two photos, they are enhanced for clarity using Photoshop 8.0. Our digital camera takes really good photos, but Photoshop makes them better. Torch (James) A good non-fogging ski goggle is the only way to go using a snowblower. Between the ski jumpsuit, full face mask, and goggles, all the wind in the world or even blown back chute discharge isn't even noticed with the proper clothing. If you try the goggles, make sure they are anti-fogging type. You won't be happy otherwise.

AJ those are solar lamps we put in that never worked, by the time I realized this they were frozen into the ground lol....Oh well thats what you get when you buy a cheap product sometimes lol... As for the different gloves I was just happy to find a pair ...., last year I found 8 right handed gloves and no left handed ones, I'm not kidding, I think I might actually have 5 kids and have lost one in the house lol....So that was the best I could do.....I was wondering if anyone would catch that lol.... Yes Walt, you nailed it! lights but they don't work lol....I love the song, my son does not know that one but it sounds adorable.... Richie yes I meant your pics, crystal clear. I tried to enhance mine with Photosuite but it did not come out as well as I would like..... C

Nice pics Chris and Richie. Chris, follow your motto. When I saw the pics of your kids it reminded me of how much I enjoyed watching my 2 sons at that age, sledding and goofing around out in the backyard. One is away at college now and the other is 16 and would rather be at the ski resorts. Something about snow bunnies. So appreciate these times with them now. Nice looking kids. Richie, I like the goggle idea. I didn't think you looked like a terrorist. I was thinking more, ummmmm, power ranger. LOL Kevin

Thanks folks, glad you liked the photos. Chris, I don't think there is any substitute for Photoshop. In the future, if you have photos you wish to post and they don't seem up to your standards, email them to me and I'll see what I can do with them. AJace, They are better with the clear lenes, I just can't seem to find that lens, so I use the shaded one that also came with them. I used to use sunglasses, but the snow would just blow into the sides and you could imagine how uncomfortable that is.

Hey guys, I'm new to the snowblower game and my purchase decision was based on advise received over on the old board. Love my "new" (previously enjoyed) honda HS828TCD. Here is a pic my wife took in the back yard.Doug

Jogo, Richie, Yates28, ChrisS, Vangellis, Doug: Great pictures guys. Envious of you guys getting some decent snow. All I've got is clear skies and well below normal temperatures. Next week it will warm up to where it could snow, but looks like light flurries only. Going to be using the leaf blower more than the snow blower. Hey Doug: A couple of questions? Where you located? Please feel free to put it in your profile. Is that a hydrostatic or friction disc drive? I work with a fellow who picked up an HS828 9+ years ago. Lucked into it as the people were moving to an apartment. It is 17 years old now and he's never done a lick of adjustments or repairs to it. Just changes the oil. It has a friction disc drive and tires rather than a track. <<edited to fix bad speling, agin>>

Thanks for the welcomes everyone, Yes it's a canadian model, not exactly sure of the year, I was told about 7 or 8 years old. Anyone know what year the electric chute controls came out? Highwind, I'm in Prince Edward Island, Canada and it's the hydrostatic. I hope the hydro drive proves to be as reliable 18Degrees, LOL....... Yeah, looks kind of funny, but I'm actually clearing a path back to my burning barrel.

Doug,
I talked to the dealer's mechanic when I bought mine, and he said he had never replaced a hydro drive in one. They are quite reliable. There is so little stress on the oil and mechanical parts and no routine oil change. You'll be using it trouble-free for years.

Thanks guys for the compliments!! 18 - Nothing like clearing off the grass for a quickie "snowblower fix!" Chris - At least I have DARK glasses on. Gotta keep the M&G tradition going somehow... Kevin - It was 57 degrees here today. Nothing like it was 2 weeks ago with 20 degree temps & the wind blowing 30 mph!! I hear ya about gearing up for spring & getting the lawn in shape - its right around the corner & snowblower season will be over... Richie - Ask & you shall receive... Those "skid shoes" are actually idler pulleys that the previous owner stuck on there - they work ok! Like those bald tires too? Makes for almost zero traction in the snow! BTW - the snow that I was blowing was about 8 to 10" deep, very wet & slushy. This little guy was actually throwing the powder about 15'-20' 2 weeks ago. I LOVE IT!!!! Marty
