Yay, it says DC16 on the box front (top right) I saw them stacked up in the shops this morning. It also has the usual Dyson airwatts comparison graph (sans scale) showing the sudden drop off from competing makes.
 
I think it's going to be a great x-mas seller for Dyson. Although uprights and canisters are often given as presents, this'll make a nice sized box under the tree. Plus it can be brought out on boxing day, to clear up the general mess!
A smart move, along with fair margins (the lithium ion battery being a major component cost) it should help promote the Dyson brand like never before.

I took my DC16 Hand Held Dyson to the Vacuum Cleaner Collector's Club - Mini Meet, in Chicago this past weekend.  It worked like a dream.  Cleaned the crumbs from the table after dinner, cleaned up the car interior, and then cleaned all the Hoovers that we got in Aurora (Illinois) that were still new in the box (from the 1960's). The boxes had sat for 40 years.  There were brand new Floor Washers, etc. still in the boxes, but the boxes were in terrible shape, dusty, etc. Dyson cleaned up a couple of Convertibles (like the model 65 that John P. got) that were like brand new, but otherwise dusty.  The DC16 was a big hit.  I'll post some of my pics from the weekend on the VCCC's website.

Anyone know the recharge time for this vac? The dude at Best Buy told me it has rated runtime of 5 minutes. This "fact" actually stopped me from buying one on impulse. Seems like you'd have to recharge it after almost every use.
