Don't go whiter if...
- You tend to have sensitive teeth to begin with or gums that are receding or diseased. If you have an allergy to peroxide, obviously this is not the way to go for you.
- You have yet to hit your 16th birthday. Your younger central tooth nerve is more likely to react to the solution and cause pain.
- You are pregnant or breast feeding. You don't want any extra chemicals going to your baby.
- Your front teeth are all capped or bonded. The bleaching isn't going to do a thing for these prosthetic teeth.
- You don't intend to stop smoking after the procedure. Any whitening will be quickly diminished by smoke.
- Your gums have eroded to a large degree. Don't expect the bleach to affect this part of your teeth because there is no enamel layer to bleach.
