Marty, Heard you're considering selling it, If acceptable, I'll trade you my wife, and a partridge in a pear tree. Oh, Oh, gotta run I hear her coming. You need to get off those late shifts, takes its toll on the body, can't have you falling apart. Regards Will

Nice , I would paint it matching color. It looks like the chute is lower than the intake? Can you blow snow straight ahead without hitting it. I would assume if you angled upward you could, but if you wanted max foward throw distance would it be hindered by that intake. Hey it is almost as big as the vent on top of my stove. Kinda looks like it too.

Marty: Was it made of three pieces? Are the side pieces welded to the center piece? Can't see any bolt holes in the top piece,to hold it on with? How tall does this make the intake now? Very nice piece of engineering, getting the curve and bend in the center section. T.J.

TJ - It was constructed of 3 pieces of stainless and they are all neatly welded together. The top piece actually slides under the auger bucket side covers & utilizes the auger side cover bolts. Offhand I think the new height is about 30"!
Again, I would love to take credit for making this but cannot. It is someone elses fine handiwork... Marty

For esthetic reasons, I'm wondering if Marty can actually find a similar snowblower and grab the chute pieces from it and make his longer. I'm curious if adding length to it, if the machine would still perform correctly. I just assume it's like a rifle, the longer the barrel, the straighter it would throw the snow. It would make a great experiment, not to mention those chute pieces may be a pretty standard size for that era machine and easy to find. Marty, go for it
