A Little Something to help us COOL off!
Original Message   Jul 25, 2005 8:07 pm
Its supposed to be around 95 here in NJ tomorrow - here's something for those not very heat tolerant (like me) to help think of cooler days...

My wife graciously took these photos back in March of this year. Well, better late than never. Thats me & the "trusty" MTD getting to clearing about 8" of white stuff so the doggie can walk around. That black spot on the left, in the top pic is my car trailer ramp.

mid 90's with humidity in the 70% range.  That's shower weather.

Thanks Marty! I really needed that after spending the last 1 1/2 hours crawling in a machine to do inspections in a 95 degree shop. I feel cooler already!

Marty, Doesn't your wife holler at you to get a hat on before you catch a cold?  LOL

I just got in from cutting the grass in 92 degree weather. I know, I was riding the tractor, but the trim work gave me a good sweat. Next week it's off to Ocean City, N.J. The Ocean breeze will be nice.

I never heard of Ocean City, NJ until today.  I'm fimiliar with Ocean City, MD, and I certainly will take a trip over to the NJ one now that I know about it.  There is an Ocean City in Washington and Florida too.

As I mentioned above, I don't like the heat, so its gotta be blistering COLD for me to wear a hat! With all the "wood burning" (thats thinking) I do, my head needs MAX cooling at ALL times. Thats a light, insulated flannel shirt I have on, not a full winter coat. Nothing like looking like "Frosty" after an enjoyable snowblowing session. I know - I'm a sick dude...

Surprised there were no comments about how low the MTD's handles are. It is a bit low for me, but still comfortable.

Rob - thats my stunt double actually doing the chores...

Kevin - my wife used to prod me to bundle up. After always coming in from 'blowing, donned with heavy clothing at her suggestion and soaked with sweat, she stopped prodding. She knows I would win a sweating contest just standing outside, motionless, in sub 20 degree temps. Also - Ocean City is just across the bay from "sin city" (Atlantic City), so if you're a gambling man, you're covered!

Actually, I'm just a lottery ticket guy and occasional football game bettor. My father was a businessman that owned a restaurant, but his main line was that he was a bookie. LOL  Interesting household to grow up in. Started after he got back from fighting in WW II, until just before he passed on to the big betting parlor above in 1991. He was one of a kind. Good guy.
