OPE Forum Meet and Greet
Original Message   Jul 21, 2005 3:24 pm
So, who is intersete in a little get together to put faces to names, shoot the breeze, or whatever you do.

I realize this is a International forum, and not everybody can come. it seems we have a Higher concentration of members in the New England States. I know we also have 2 Moderators in N.E.

So whoever is interested, post away and lets find out if this is possible.

PS, Moderators, can this be pinned at the top for a while??

Now that would be great.  To pull something like that off would be something else.  If nothing else it will be fun to talk about and try to pull it together!

That is a great idea.  If you could pull it off, then you could get pictures and post them for the rest of us to see.  That would be cool.

I wouldnt exactly call 3 guys stuck in the boonies as a "Higher concentration" of members.
I think the map below might give a truer picture of where the epicenter of the forum lies.

Frank is very resourceful LOL.....

I would love to have it at my house!  I have the room that is for sure lol.....

As the master Buttlint has pointed out though I am out of the way.  I am easy to get to though, I live right off of interstate 89 in New Hampshire and anyone can get to 89 easily.  Heck if the land where flat between me and the highway I could see it lol...

Of course it is always wise to check with the wife first lol.....

I love to travel as does my wife and family so if it could be arranged somehow I am game!

Hey.........I'd love to do that.....
My wife would probably expect me to casually mention it to her first, but i am somewhat geographically located.....
Easy to find, ( two miles from NYS Thruway exit 48)
30 miles from Buffalo, 30 miles from Rochester, less then 2 hours away from Syracuse......40 miles from Niagara Falls, 5 miles from Six flags....

It would be cool......

Yeah,
Kevin lives in Pa, and i remember his pictures, he has a nice spead too................

Marshall is geographically located FOR THE WHOLE COUNTRY.......being in Ok., although if I remember correctly, he has too many girls around there to be a comfortable host.....(some of you guys might make him nervous........)

We can all go up to visit to Chris and Sherry's and visit Canada.......hey, ya don't need a passport YET.  Canada's clean, you get to use cool money and drive in KPH's, which look real fast...

Of course, there is also Batavia......although I'm not sure if I would be disqualified for not being a beer drinker, may have to be B.Y.O.B..........oh, for those of you who like to throw away your retirement money, we have a casino here now too........( I throw my bucks in my 401K, which is almost the same thing........)

Thanks for the compliment Frank. We could have a camp out. Everybody would have to drive their OPE here though and we could have competitions. Tractor races, grass trimmer relays, Blower power pushes, and log cutting speed races. October would be good cause then I'd be set for the winter.  LOL

Good idea Mountainman. I remember when I first got on AOL and was a regular in the Scranton, PA. chat room. We finally had a party at a grove that was right over the hill from my house. That chat room buzzed for days after that party. I won't get into specifics though. Use your imagination.

Hi...

I like this get-together idea...!

I'll offer my places too... On city lot here in west-central CT...  small...would work though... enough room for several tents...

Also have ~~3 clear, mowed field acres in near Rutland VT...  1-bed camper... running water... grill... but no proper bathroom facilities... (that dosen't stop me!)...

Check it out on mapping software...

Maybe we can locate a campground / motel somewhere in a better location ???

I don't know if I'd want to be around Chief Ungabunga too much.  I wouldn't want to end up like his SIL's.  Might be fine for you guys, but what about the women of this place?
