Dyson is conspicuously absent from most ALL retailers' Sunday vacuum ads.  Very present is HOOVER including the coveted SUNDAY PARADE, compliments of SEARS one of my favorite retailers. This week's PARADE is dedicated to the Oscar Awards, a very popular and widely read PARADE edition.
 
I suspect the highest price bagless upright maker is depending on Aunt Ethel and Aunt Betsy to get the advertising word of mouth out to the hinter lands.  
 
Last minute updates to correct my post due to some late arriving data indicates that the most expensive bagless will appear in retailers' ads albeit not in the premier ad locations.

Let's face facts, Bruce, you have to give consumers a better motor in a $500 product than a $50 Panasonic one fan motor.  Cheap, cheap, cheap, cheap.

So you agree. Hoover is saturating the market with their dud. They are becoming very desperate because of poor sales. The Hoover Z will continue struggling with sales with a price tag of $500. You're going to have to admit it sooner or later Carmine. It's a hopeless cause... the Z dud is hoover dead! And I'll be right there to tell you "I told you so"!
