Dyson is offering $50 mail-in-rebates on the purchase of any dyson upright valid May 6-15, 2007 in stores only. Check local retailers and see rebate form for details.

Carmine,

I could not find anything about the rebate on the Dyson Website, or on the websites of Target, LNT, BBB or Sears....

Where did you find out about the rebate?

Thanks in advance,
Dan

Hello Dan:

Try KOHL's Stores.

LNT and BBB are sparse and non-existent with new dyson models. I haven't seen the DC17, DC18 and/or DC21 advertised by either of them yet. I don't know if they even carry them yet. I think the 20 percent off coupon by these retailers on dyson products may have strained dyson business relations with these chains. Maybe some one else who knows will share the latest developments. (Matt mmc you still lurking?).

Carmine D.

But of course   Wink
Any current rebates are NOT through Dyson.  Also, LNT and BBB both have Dyson's new products, although their advertising schedule is not as busy as some other retailers.  The 20% coupon has definitely made things interesting in ALL stores!!

Here's what I hear:  BBB does not want to carry the dyson DC21 canister and any of the DC14 models.

LNT does not want to carry the DC18 Slim.

At 20 percent off MSRP, BBB and LNT are the better sales for the dyson models (EVEN WITH THE DYSON $50 mail-in-rebate  Wink)

Interesting.  DC21 is only in select BBB stores and they don't carry any DC14's.  LNT not wanting to carry SLIM?  They haven't started carrying it yet.  I'm not sure who's giving you their opinions.

When will LNT start selling the DC18 Slim?  All the other retailers have had them for several months.  Could LNT be waiting for all the pent up consumers' demand after dyson hits the TV waves with its commercials?

I'll wait for the $100 dyson rebate (price drop) before making the plunge on the DC18.   Wink  Forget the dyson cann, its hopeless.  Nothing will spark its sales.  (Maybe a free DC16 giveaway?).

Some of these BBBY and LNT sources don't know what they are talking about.  They're probably too close to the action.  BBBY are even saying that like LNT its owners are more inclined to entertain private buyout bids.  Why?  Owners are old, in their 70's.  And BBBY is debt free and has $3.50 cash per share.  Unlike LNT which brought 10 percent premium on the value from Apollo Group, BBBY will probably bring 20 percent for shareholders.  Then again what do their opinions matter.  They don't know anything.   Wink

A couple of retailers' before Mother's Day vacuum sales:  Kohl's and SEARS.

Kohl's for Friday and Saturday, May 11 and 12, have the Eureka Boss 4D bagless upright and HOOVER Steam Vac for $139.  And the dyson DC16 hand held for $149 and Shark cordless stick sweeper for $49.

SEARS Friday-Sunday sale (May 11-13) with the Eureka Maxima bagless upright for $49 (lightweight); Kenmore bagless Quickclean upright for $89 and the bagged Kenmore Magic Blue canister for $79.

Mother's Day May 13, still time to get that special someone a iRobot Discovery, Scheduler, and/or Scooba (and snag a Dirt Dog for yourself for the garage/workshop).  Wink

HAPPY MOTHER's DAY ladies.

Lowe's has joined the 20 percent off floorcare bandwagon too including dysons (20 PERCENT off is making things DICEY for dyson):  The DC18 Slim with an MSRP of $469 BEFORE 20 percent off with discount taken at the register.  (No mail-in-rebate from retailer and reimbursement from maker taking months and months for customers' refunds.)  Offer good from May 13-27, 2007.  Excludes special order.  See store for details.

Now there are 3 big box retailers offering 20 percent off dysons (AND IN ADVERTISED STORE SALES) including the new dyson models:  Lowe's, BBBY and LNT.  What happened to dyson MAP?   Wink  BEST BUY, SEARS, Kohl's, TARGET and Circuit City Stores' Managements must be absolutely livid.  How can they compete on dyson prices with 3 major retailers now offering 20 percent off dyson MSRP?  Including the new DC18 and DC21.  Can't.  Dum dum dum dum.  Things are getting very interesting for dyson retailers.   Are $100 Store Giftcards in the making and possibly combined with discounts of 10-20 percent too off MSRP on dyson products.  Let's see what the summer brings.

Also included in the 20 percent off at Lowes is the dyson DC14 for $429 before discount.  EUREKA Maxima bagless for $59 (b/d).  HOOVER bagless WT for $159 (b/d); HOOVER Elite Rewind $99 (b/d).  BISSELL Healthy Home $249 (b/d).  And the Electrolux Intensity for $299 (b/d).

This looks like the best ADVERTISED sales offer of the week, especially on the dysons for all you dyson fans.  ANd Lowe's provides the weight, cord length and warranty periods for their advertised sales on vacuums.  Other retailers should follow suit and do the same.

BEST BUY has the usual array but can't compare with Lowe's.  EUREKA Maxima $89, Eureka Boss SMart Vac 4870 for $149, Intensity for $299, BISSELL MOmentum Bagless upright for $99, BISSELL Healthy Home for $249 and dyson DC18 Slim for $469.  Lowe's gives you 20 percent off of these same prices.

Circuit City has the BISSELL Healthy Home for $249 and the dyson DC14 for $429.  Lowe's gives you 20 percent off these same models and prices.  Dah!

Sears has a closeout on the white Progressive bagged canister for $289, bagged cann for $39, BISSELL Velocity for $119, dyson DC14 for $429 and HOOVER All Terrain $279.

Kohl's has the BISSELL Momentum for $99, and BISSELL Velocity for $149.

KMart has the bagged Dirt Devil Breeze for $42, bagless Dirt Devil Swivel Glide for $69, BISSELL QuickSteamer for $69 and HOOVER bgaless WT for $159.  (Lowe's has the same HOOVER for the same price PLUS a 20 percent off).

Finally, Oreck with ads in the dailies and the Sunday Smart Source on the XL Ultra and Deluxe.  And look for Dave's new TV ads for his "lightweight" 8 pound XL upright.  Complete with backdrops of Oreck's nationwide network of Clean Home Centers and satisfied Oreck customers.  No actors in the ad for Dave.  He plays the leading role as top salesman and product supporter.

That's all folks.

Didn't take long.  Add Kohl's to the discounters too with 15-20-30 percent off ALL floorcare including dysons.  Here's your chance to snag a dyson DC18 Slim for $328 that's a $141 discount from MSRP.  And Kohl's, unlike in the past sales, has kept the MSRP prices intact before discounts.  Not inflating.

And there are no quantity limits.  As many as you want and can afford.  Dyson dealers here's your opportunity to buy as many as you can for 30 percent off and sell at MSRP.

THe sale is good from Wednesday May 17-22.

Jimmy the P/OT told you so.

Just heard some news and it was confirmed that after the current Kohl's sales expire on May 22, a new sale will be in effect.  EXTRA 15 percent off (for Kohl's credit card holders) on everything from May 23-June 6.   This includes sale, regular, and clearance priced merchandise.  It's good for ONE DAY ONLY on anything and everything in the store.

The usual array of non-descript vacuum sales this week in anticipation of Memorial Day AND the already advertised sales.

Speaking of which, Kohl's Sales supplement was in the Sunday newspaper this weekend for all you doubting dyson fans.  Minimum off for Kohl's credit card holders 15-20-30 thru Tuesday May 22.  And its good on ALL FLOORCARE not just the expensive bagless brand.  Speaking of which, if you are one of the lucky customers with a 30 percent off mailer, you can snag a DC18 dyson-lite for $328.  Not a bad price for the latest and greatest dyson.

Lowe's still has its' 20 percent off ALL FLOORCARE, except special order, through May 27.  Including the DC18 dyson-lie (I mean lite) if you are not a Kohl's fan.

These are the winning retailers for vacuum sales this week.

The unworthy are BEST BUY with the dyson DC17 Absolute Animal for $549.  Forgetabout it.  BB will sell as many of these as Haley's Comets for that price.  And the Dirt Devil Swivel Glide for $59.  Those will sell.  But for crying out loud, can you make those vacuum ads alittle larger.  Couldn't see them under those huge washer and dryer sale ads.

SEARS is right up there for the worse with BEST BUY.  DC18 for $469.  Give me a break.  Every retailer in town has them discounted and SEARS is selling for full price.  THe HOOVER WT SP bagged for $229 isn't too bad.  Comes with the hose extension.  But you can beat it at COSTCO's regular price for $219.

Some non-descripts at KMart too.  Eureka, BISSELL, and DIRT DEVIL.  All bagless inexpensive uprights save the ProHeat deep carpet cleaner for $169.

Circuit City joins the boo-hoo club of losers too this week.  Dyson DC07 for $399 and DC18 dyson-lite for $469.  I'm sure they'll sell out of these at those prices.  Yeah...right.  THe best deal which ain't a deal is the HOOVER Elite rewind for $99.

The Sunday paper also has the 20 percent Linens-N-Things discount coupon good thru June 9 (Including dysons not excluding as it once did when dysons were hot...now they're NOT).  And the Forum has it from a good dyson inside source that ALL THE NEW DYSON MODELS ARE AT LNT.  Wink

Dave Oreck, the slow and sure face of USA vacuums, advertised in the dailies and Saturday papers with his favorite Oreck XL Ultra.  And snagged another sale (now 3 in 3 weeks) of his XL Classic from Carmine D. for $149 plus shipping.  THis one for dear daughter's new house.

Well, that's all folks.  Let's see what happens after Memorial Day: The official start of Summer when vacuum sales wane and discount prices heat up.
