Much better picture.  Thanks.

Looks and acts like a HOOVER FUSION with a HEPA filter.  For $99, I would definitely agree with you.  All other things being equal, the Dirt Devil Spinnergy is a much better buy than the FUSION at $98 (without the HEPA).

The Spinnergy turbo tool brush roll looks similar to the brush roll in the Dirt Devil rechargeable power sweep.  Not as good as the HOOVER turbo tool brush (IMHO).  But a decent competitor.

If I were Wal*Mart and Sam's Club Stores with an exclusive rights business agreement (contract) to sell HOOVER FUSION and FUSION Plus vacuums, I would vehemently object to TTI's sale of the Spinnergy at other retailers.  I would have to think that TTI is trying to capitalize on its new status as owner of both HOOVER and Dirt Devil by making a FUSION clone (even better) for sale among other big box retailers.  In effect, trying to circumvent (read breach) the contract with Wal*Mart and Sam's Club and enhance its profits by making a FUSION competitor (much better) for other retailers.

I don't think Wal*Mart would allow that business action to go unnoticed and unpunished (until the contract expires which I suspect is soon).

BTW HSN is having another HOOVER sale on Feb 9.  I'm expecting that FUSION/FUSION + are on the sales venue.

So Wal-Mart is now selling the Hoover Mach3, which looks incredibly like the Hoover Fusion.

If you do a side by side compare of HOOVER FUSION to HOOVER Mach3 there is ONE difference that jumps out at you.  What is it?  The FUSION is made overseas  (aka import).  The Mach3 is made in the USA and overseas.  There are other nuances too not as significant as this one.

There is actually a second generation Fusion out there.  It has HEPA filter and brushroll shut-off.

Ditto for the Mach5:  Made in the USA/imported.  Of course a host of other features too for the higher price tag of $168.  The 28 foot cord AND winder is a nice feature.  IMHO Wal*MART and HOOVER have two more winners for the next 2 years: The Mach3 and Mach5.  These will undoubtedly supercede the HOOVER FUSION and FUSION Plus which get discontinued and/or become obsolete.

I think a few of the more expensive bagless brands/models will also get culled from the Wal*Mart shelves to make room for the HOOVER Mach's.  There will be no problem keeping the vacuum shelves and warehouses stocked with HOOVER Mach's.  Since they are made both here and abroad shortages should not exist for more than a few days at a time, if at all.

The Dirt Devil Spinnergy should officially be launched soon too and join the DD Action 1 and Reaction 2 vacuum line.  My vote goes to HOOVER and Wal*Mart for the Mach line.

The HOOVER Mach 3 and 5 bagless are shown on the HOOVER Web site.  Amazingly similar to the Fusion and Fusion Plus.  Same retail prices too.  $98 and $109.

The Mach5 is very different from the Mach3 and FUSION.  At $168, and HEPA rated, it is Wal*Mart's high end bagless to "replace" the more expensive dyson DC07 Original and HOOVER WT 2 bagless.  It is clearly marked with the claim that it outcleans the dyson DC07, 14, and 15 based on ASTM test F608.  Restyling is similar to the HOOVER WT 2 but slimmer and the "old FUSION" adjustable handle and grip.  Nice vacuum for the money.  28 foot cord rewind and all the other amenities: Turbo tool, light, brush roll shut off, adjustable handle, manual rug height adjustment and Good Housekeeping and UL seals of approval.

The Mach3 on the other hand competes with the less expensive bagless models like the BISSELL and Dirt Devil.  It is clearly marked with the claim that it outcleans the BISSELL and Dirt Devil bagless models. Basically a renamed FUSION.

The new Mach 3 does have improved filtration! I looked at one in Hel*Mart last night and it has a white cloth like dyson's filters do. My guess why hellver (hoover) changed the name is so people wouldnt think its a bad machine (fusion)

Another new HOOVER Mach in town: This one is the Mach4 at Sam's Club Stores for $109.  And succeesds the very popular selling HOOVER Fusion Plus.  Also complements the Mach3 and Mach5 series at Wal*Mart.  This will start the 3rd consecutive year of HOOVER bagless cyclonic exclusive models for Wal*Mart and Sam's Club Stores.  Proof that the vacuum products and prices are well suited to the stores's venues.
