I missed most of the DC07 demo but that guy didn't do bad at all. They sold over 8,000 and most likely sold over 10,000 by midnight.
Chris:
Here's a short list of the misinformation/technical inconsistencies by HSN in the airing of the dyson DC07 Low Reach TV promo:
HSN dyson sales rep never identified the dyson model as the "Low Reach," instead saying only dyson and/or DC07.
The DC07 Low Reach comes with a 5 Year Warranty not 2, like the HSN dyson TV sales rep said in the promo. The ONLY dyson upright with a 2 year warranty is the exclusive model made for Wal*Mart for $378. (The timing of the HSN dyson TV sales promo will take away sales from the Wal*Mart DC07 Original).
Dyson has been in the USA since April 2002, over 4 years, not 2 years like the HSN dyson sales rep said in the TV promo.
The HSN scematics used to demo and explain the dyson root 8 technology suction is for the DC14 models not the DC07. They are different.
Of course, the brushbar/brush nozzle head faux pas. Bad timing for showing the self-adjusting floating dyson head. Right after the pet hair pick up on the rug. TV viewers got a good look (though brief) at the pet hair and rug wrapped around the dyson brushbar after just a few passes on the rug with the DC07. No doubt the reason Consumer Reports and Which? retooled their pet hair pick up tests in 2006 to measure the pet hair in the dirt bin before and after rug cleaning.
All the information provided about the dyson Animal play dyson was correct, EXCEPT ONE. The Low Reach trim colors are different than the Animal. Low Reach is bright red and deep purple. The Animal is gray and light purple. They don't look alike! Now we know what's being done with the dyson play toy leftovers from the 2005 Holiday season dyson promo.
Moral of the dyson TV sales promo: There's BS in the TV vacuum sales promo's too just like the BBS vacuum cartons.
Nice website, I hadn't seen it. Thanks
