I think I get the sum of your arguments:  Dyson will never have any impact on the vacuum market, Dysons will be pulled out of thier top retail partners any day now, most people who buy a Dyson return it, you can be number one in market share and still be a niche product, and all who say they enjoy the machine are either to stupid to know the difference or secret agent Dyson spy's out to get Carmine.  In the spirit of Thanksgiving try a positive spin take a break on the multiple daily dyson attacks for a day (no one on this forum likely has more dyson posts than you)  comment on something you do like for a day or two it is bound to cheer you up and improve your paranoia.

Look what contender is making a surprising appearance with a $30 BB Gift Card:  THe IRobot Roomba.  Congrats.  Expect to see the IRobot advertised more in the vacuum pages.  It's here in the USA big box retailers to stay.  (I told you so here).

I would say that that the IRobot Roomba vacuum is as "niche" as the Regina Elecktric Broom.  
 
BTW, HARDSELL, you were called out by Tiger for a recent post you made on a thread.  Tiger posted on the front page of the Forum above on vacuum performance tests.  Did you miss it?  Or avoiding on purpose?

On another thread I saw Hardsell talk about a  gimmick Oreck used to show performance.  I thought that might be a good topic to persue, since there are a few I've seen thru the years some dealers have used.  
   What do you consider as a gimmick and why?Why do you think the manufacturer used it  and how would you make it work for you?
