Decent Commercial Machine

I'm looking for a decent commercial machine to be used in a commercial setting in a video arcade by 16 year old kids that are in a hurry to get off work. We've got a Royal all M1028 that they are in the process of destroying. So far we've fixed, a few times, the pot metal handle where it connects to the machine . They also don't care what is vacuumed up. Although we've taught them to steer clear of pennies and dimes, the occasional hard candy still makes it's presence known in the fan case. Beings that the video arcade is loaded with electronics, we are having a hard time with dust collecting on the circuit boards inside the games. With frequent air handler filter changes, the dust is still collecting, so a commercial machine with a HEPA filter is what we're looking for. And durable, as I stated. A Bag-first machine would also of course probably be the best idea with wide tubes leading to it. Probably bags beings nobody would ever clean the filter. Anything else I'm forgetting....oh...durability = #1 and then of course something that doesn't stir up the dust. |

HS: Here is the etymology of the word according to Webster's Dictionary: "Ex" is an abbreviation for "example'' and "spurt" is a forceful gush. Putting the two together, you undoubtedly are saying that I am an example of a forceful gush. I graciously accept and thank you for your compliment! While I have been called such on many occasions [like now by you] I never refer to myself as such. To do so diminishes the value and the meaning. It must come from others. Carmine D.
A definition of gush: a rapid outpouring of anything. In your case it would be BS.
A definition of spurt: to expel in a stream. In your case it is diarrhea or the mouth.

Another example of the HARDSELL flip flop. Two different days, two different says. You can't get your facts straight from one day to the next. Typical. Did you ever buy a vacuum? The Sebo/Windsor comes as close to being teen proof as any vacuum can be: 1) It cannot be operated w/o bag or filter, or while clogged 2) The belt cannot be broken 3) It is easily dissembled for de-clogging 4) It signals the need for a new brush roller 5) The brush roller can be removed easily w/o any tools 6) To break it would require serious intent, the likes of which would bregrounds for dismissal |

Trebor- The owner is under the complete idea that nothing is better than an all-metal vacuum. My grandma has a Sebo and I use it regularly. I like it and I bet it would fare well in the arcade. It wouldn't be pretty after the first few uses but it bet it would still work. Thanks for all the recommendations guys! If the topic ever comes up again with the owner, I'll make the recommendation. |

A LOT of enthusiastic backpack proponents thought the same until they gave them a try. U of Colorado spent in excess of 40,K per YEAR, buying , replacing, and repairing, upright vacs, some of them all metal. The year of the switch, aside from initial outlay, the total maitenance costs were under 600.00! All great truths begin as heresies |
