Laser TVs
If you like to look ahead down TV’s yellow brick road, think laser.
Although experts say it will be nearer the end of the decade for viable options, these babies are just huge…50 to 60 inch screen worth of huge. So before you ink in a purchase on your calendar, you may want to think a bigger house. But if you have a room that can accommodate this size screen, dream away.
Arasor and Novalux are the laser TV tech companies that are providing the components for the industry. But it seems the other support industries like chipset manufacturers haven’t kept up with the laser possibilities. Evidently the plasma or LCD only show less than half the colors your eye can see. Your brain then adjusts to the limited spectrum. When exposed to the broader range of colors in the laser TV, the brain says wow. Lasers aren’t limited in screen size because it’s just a piece of glass, unlike the LCD and plasma screens which are rather complex, layered environments.
Another perk…bright, bright, bright. Lasers produce more light so the picture is brighter. So, more color, more light, more size. Start saving.
