Hello all, I'm looking to by a my fist snowblower. I'm tossed up between a Simplicity I1224E($1066CAD) and an Ariens Compact 24($999CAD). Both have good ratings. I have local dealer support for both. The Simplicty has a larger engine. Both have B&S engines. Now I could also look at a Ariens Deluxe 24 for $1200CAD but don't really want to to pay the extra money. Any recommendations?? At my local HD's I see the Compact 24 for CA$999 and the Deluxe 24 for CA$1129 or CA$1132 on the web order sign in the store. I think the Deluxe is a much better value for that little difference even if you have to add sixty bucks shipping. Maybe try to get HD to match Rona's Saturday scratch & save event, even for just the minimum 10%.

Bigger motor, impeller and auger etc. If you choose to go with 24" Ariens, pick the Deluxe IMO.
