Have I missed something?
Original Message   Jan 28, 2005 10:49 pm
I've been reading several posts that talk about breaking in procedures for Ariens Snowblowers and I'm confused.  I read the manual and all I see is that the oil needs to be changed after 2 hours of use.  Am I missing another piece of instruction material?  The machine runs great and I hate to change anything but I sure want to do what needs doing so as not to take a change of voiding the warranty.

If I'm supposed to do additional maintenance please let me know what it is.  I've got about 2 hours on it now and the oil change is on the agenda for the weekend.

Thanks Mountainman.  I bought mine from a dealer not a big box store so I assume this was done.  I think that other than the oil change I'll leave everything alone for now.

Ive adjusted my belts once since i bought the machine. Might be due again. ANY belt streches under heavy load, and Ive been moving a lot of snow ( for the area, were over 50% above normal) latly.

One thing that happens to me is if I delete everything in my post, then click post I don't have the ability to come back even after I click edit and put more in.  Chris, do you mind deleteing everything pertaining to SnowShovler in this thread so it doesn't look wrong?

I am sorry, at this point no.

I have to stand by my principles and do it manually.

I was angry when I made my first post.  This is very unpleasant for me.

But its a pleasure for me to see my posts deleted, when all I said was check the belt after 50 hours of usage.
