Homemade Snowblower

Wow! I'm not sure what to say about this snowblower. I've certainly never seen anything like it.

WOW, your right what to say.  He put a lot of work into it.  But I think that it has a few
rather large design flaws.  There is no way you can be moving snow that far down an auger to the impeller
and be moving forward at any kind of speed. the same.  There will also be a real uneven load on the augers.
One heavy wet snow and I'm afraid those augers would be wrapping themselves around the center shaft.
I've seen large truck mounted blowers that  have the impeller at one end.
But its fed by an angled plow type setup that just rather shoves the snow into the impeller.
He sure gets credit for being inventive though.
Couldn't see, but I wonder how he is going to move
that thing forward.
I love it.

Catt  Who built that blower?

Looks like he  put a lot of work in it. I hate to bust his  bubble, but I cant see  how it will work. The auger is so BIG. all the snow will travel to the right. There is no smooth path for the snow to feed the impeller.  Your auger support braces are  in the way . The impeller itself  is in line with your auger. So how is the augergoing to feed the impeller?   You also have a lot of very loose  chains and sprockets.

I'm not sure who you're referring to.  I sure wouldn't take credit for the design or building it.  I would like to see it in person, but from a distance because it might start flying apart.

I found a test run on youtube of this thing before he added the auger.  Can't wait to see his next video test run.

Must have a lot of time on their hands. I too would be concerned about parts flying off and causing injury. A+ for creativity though!

Now, if someone would make something similar but smaller, say 20 to 30" wide, powered by a five to ten horsepower engine, riding on two wheels, with an adjustable chute and deflector controlled by levers on a handlebar.....

Wait a minute......   They do.
