With the hand warmer,,,,,,,,how hot are the handlebars supposed to get. is it just slight? If it is more than slight is it possible that a wire is loose? wouldnt have chosed the option but if it is ther it should work as intended.

2) the deflector keeps popping up. i have tighrned the nut below the panel many times. scared of overtightening? should i just keep on tightening??

How long was the machine running before you felt the handgrips?

Remote... OK...

Is the any hardware on the chte's joint than can be tightened ?
If so... maybe try adjusting there...

...or follow the Owner's manual...

Was this a light or heavy snow when this happened... ?
If a light snow... then there's a problem...

Solara- Are you sure you are tightening the right nut/bolt? It should have a coil spring that you are putting tension on while your tightening the nut/bolt. What I did when I got mine was tighten it until you can't move the remote deflector at all then back off a turn and try it and back off and try until you can move it and stop there. - Kris

I have the 1128...I have melted a part of my gloves with the hand warmer, yet when using without the gloves it does not seem very hot...strange huh.

Melted gloves! Wow, I've never had that happen to me. I do know that they got so hot on my 1128 LE, I had to turn them off.

If the heat warmers are getting that hot, it muse be a defect, or something other wrong with it. I could not see why a companey would put out a product that can burn peoples hands!
