TECUMSEH 10HP CAST IRON BORE ELECTRIC START
Original Message   Jan 4, 2006 5:25 pm
I can't seem to find an ID. plate or any stamping on this engine .  I believe it's an L-Head. Where do I look for the engine ID? I'm tring to determine the oil capacity. Judging from previous posts this is pretty importent.  Thanks , rich b.

I have a B&S Intek Snow. According to the manual a fast way to fill it is to:

1. Have the engine level;
2. Open one of the lower oil fill ports ( there are two);
3. Remove the oil dipstick and fill through there;
4. When oil comes up to and is about to come out of the lower oil fill port  you are done.
