hey gang... i have been out for a while ,actually i have been in the basement working on my recent aquisition...hey that sounds important i got a 1977 1612 powerking tractor. it has a 12 horse kohler (k301 cast iron). all gear drive ,3pt hitch, front electric pto, front mount snow dozer blade, mid mount 48 " mower and it has 16 inch rear wheels and 8 inch front wheels. i have been using already and have been doing some restoration work,i would like to get it in as near original condition as i can. it is very strong compared to the monster tractor and its heavy a well, all cast iron and steel ,no plastic there. maybe miss snowshoveler will post a pic. later chris

its is geared very low indeed. on level ground it would easily pull a fullsized truck, probably even 2 if they didnt roll to hard against it. later chris

that would be right mine is in the 750 lb range .the 24 14 24 16 and the 24 18 are about 300 lbs heavier. i dont plan to haul much in the way of vehicles but when you see the way these are built you are impressed. they do have a real transmission with a clutch and pressure plate as well as a driveshaft and a true rearend with an honest ring and pinion as well as planetary gearsets ,thats what makes them high. they are just a scaled down farm tractor and they were built the same for many years . i plan on restoring this one and using it to mow the lawn and perhaps i will put a snowblower on it . some folks i chat with on a powerking website say they were a pretty good snowblower. if it does work well i will find out. but right now im just repairing the cobbles that have been done in the past 28 years. i have replaced the exhaust ,installed a proper iginition switch and rewired it as well as put in new headlights...seems the original ones somehow got wired in with the coil...yech messy anyway the lights were blown. i like doing this stuff so i stay out of trouble i guess. as long as miss snowshoveler dosent find somthing to take up all my free time then life is good. dont you all just love honeydoos. later chris
