Looking for a good electric chain saw
Original Message   Jun 14, 2005 3:07 pm
I haven't done much looking but I don't have much need for one other than once in a while to cut average size chunks of wood.  I see that Milwaukee has a 16".  I figure I need a 16-18".  I'm just looking right now and don't really have need to buy yet.

Stihl makes a very nice electric saw. Remington makes a decent economy saw, probably can buy 2 for what the Stihl costs, but they are strictly light duty in comparison.

I see the Remington's have somewhat good reviews and are at a price I can afford.  I wonder what others might say about Remington.  Shovlers, do you sell them?

sorry we only sell the husky in electric.

the remingtons used to be a good saw but its been a long time since i have seen one.

if you are not cutting up a couple cord of firewood then the new remington should do the job.

Good electric Saw ??

If you must, the Stihl, Makita or husky are decent. Ive seen remingtons destroyed in no time at all.

I'll have to look into them.  The Husky sounds like a winner.

The United States and the Canadian product sheet for the electric Husqvarna.

They shouldn't be different but you never know.

I like Orange so it's either Husqvarna or the Stihl.  I haven't priced them yet.  Also money isn't planned for this purchase yet.  The old one is a 10" McCulloch.

The Husky runs close to $200.
