Do you folks buy tickets at tractor raffles?
Original Message   May 5, 2005 2:57 pm
I bet in the course of the year, I buy raffle tickets on a dozen machines. They are usually a dollar each, 6 for 5$ and support the local Volunteer Fire Dept, or Rescue unit. As of today, I haven't won, but I don't know what happens if one year I win more than one machine. As a regular home owner, I really have no actual use for a restored farm tractor, or even a Compact Utility, but I can't seem to help myself. I walk by the featured tractor at a show or at the mall and it's pretty, seductive, shiny and I buy a ticket. Does that happen to you guys too?

If it was a new mower, I'd probably sell it, but if I ever win a restored Oliver super 88, or a restored Deere 2 cylinder, I'll make it into living  room furniture if I have to, but I'm keeping it.
