Need help finding parts for JD STX38
Original Message   May 5, 2005 12:04 pm
My friends brother asked me to help locate an online source fo some parts for his JD mower.  He is looking for a new seat or seat cover? and a new bag for the rear bagger.
I did some searching to find an on line parts look up or owners guide with part numbers butt I cant find one.

I would think i would need the JD part number for these items before i search the web.

thanks for your help

John

I didn't look all that hard - but I think that there's also a place that you can find accessories.  If you can find parts - then the accessories can't be that far behind.

Is the STX38 a yellow deck unit or a black deck unit? Seat is different based on what I see on Deere parts.

I haven't been able to find a seat for sale yet, at least one that says for STX38, as Joe said, they can be different.

Heres the part numbers for three possible bag choices:

AM126498 - 6.5 bushel bag

M119007 - 7 bushel bag OPTIONAL

M131405 - 7 bushel bag standard

Found them here at the official John Deere parts website: http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.HomePageServlet_Alt

Heres a link for some aftermarket seats at Northern Tool:              http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/NTESearch?storeId=6970&N=0&Ntk=All&Ntt=deere%20seat&Nty=1&D=deere%20seat&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Dx=mode+matchallpartial

I've been down this road while looking for bagger chutes for my STX46 (which will have a new home come Saturday ), so this was all fresh to me...
