My friends brother asked me to help locate an online source fo some parts for his JD mower.  He is looking for a new seat or seat cover? and a new bag for the rear bagger.
I did some searching to find an on line parts look up or owners guide with part numbers butt I cant find one. 

I would think i would need the JD part number for these items before i search the web.

I was just on the site - www.deere.com.  It looks like there's a place to put in the model number to search for parts.

thanks , I tried that and I think I found the model number for the seat but I dont see the Bog even pictured?

I didn't look all that hard - but I think that there's also a place that you can find accessories.  If you can find parts - then the accessories can't be that far behind.

Is the STX38 a yellow deck unit or a black deck unit? Seat is different based on what I see on Deere parts.

I haven't been able to find a seat for sale yet, at least one that says for STX38, as Joe said, they can be different.

I've been down this road while looking for bagger chutes for my STX46 (which will have a new home come Saturday ), so this was all fresh to me...
