Sharpening, Take em to a shop. But as far as Oil, use regular Pam, the cooking spray. it will keep sap from gumming up and sapping power. it works. Its all I use on my Stihl.

to sharpen them, just seperate the 2 blades and use a fine flat metal file and file at the same angle that is there. file in one direction from the base to the edge of the blade.
