Bigger is not necessarily better when it comes to clothes dryers
In these days of hyperbole, there is no such thing is a small capacity dryer, only extra large, super, and super plus. Generally a dryer will encompass 7 cubic feet, or your typical load of washing. The extra capacity of your dryer should impact your purchase only if you intend to dry large or bulky items on a regular basis.
Make sure you get a dryer with at least 7 cubic feet for general household laundry. There is rarely a need for something larger. If you have space issues, apartment models can be found that are compact and 24 inches wide. These models run about 3.5 cubic feet.
Although the tumbler should be sturdy, it does not have to be stainless steel to perform well. Heavy duty plastic will do the job nicely.
