The best bags I have used for maintaining suction are Filtrette bags, and they also filter very well. The worst for maintaining airflow are the Air-way bags, which do have great filtration, and they seriously are near HEPA filtration, unlike some bags which merely claim to be. I have also used DVC micro-lined bags, and they do a pretty good job of mainting suction, and filtration is adequate. For me the base bags are the worst choice. They neither filter well, nor maintain airflow all that well.
