How many Dysons have copied Hoover or Oreck vs the other way around?

I agree with RAT on this matter.  More and more vacuum makers like HOOVER, EUREKA, DIRT DEVIL, VAX and others are going to produce bagless uprights to knock off the overpriced underperforming dyson brand.  They already have and the evidence in a short time is convincing: Wal-Mart with the HOOVER FUSION; Kmart with the Reaction: SEARS with the HOOVER Z and VAX; BEST BUY with the VAX and HOOVER Z and on and on.

The dyson competitors will be successful in all major USA retailers.  Dyson will be compelled to reduce prices to survive and/or will dry up in existing vacuum markets and move to less competitive more virgin ones and repeat the same process.

The writing is on the wall.  You just have to face the music.

As you know from way back Peter, I prefer canisters like the Miele. I'm curious to know what model and how old the Dyson was that you disassembled. What type of failure was it? Thanks.

Dyson made a huge business miscalculation by using a $50 Panasonic sourced motor for his "perceived"  premium USA bagless DC07 and DC14.  The motor of a vacuum is the heart of its performance.  Going cheap and sourcing out especially with a competitor is like giving the keys to your house to a thief.  You know what the result will be.

Hi Carmine, all in all the panasonic motor is very good.So are you trying to say that if dyson used their brushrollor and belt set up. It would clean as good as a panasonic that costs 69.95.

Seems we have a misunderstanding or more like a direct lie coming from our flannel mouth. As I already knew, the Panasonic motors are indeed very well made and dependable.

Thanks for setting the record straight old-timer Wink
