Well UK shops are displaying it on their websites before any offical launch!  You don't usually get that in the UK with a new Dyson product!  They usually appear after the offical launch! Argos in the UK have the DC18 Slim in a brochure but not on their website yet!  I will have to check if any of these are showing in stores like Currys or Comet in the UK.

Probably they appear now before the product is launched!

Intriguing, although practical and what for?
In the car? Maybe for crumbs and dried mud, but unless it can drive a air turbine, it's unlikely to shift dog hair.
Around the home? Hmmm... work surfaces s'pose, but you can get £20 models which do a fair job at this.
Workshop? Great, but use a £99 hand-held cleaner for oily mess?

It would certainly have a place in some businesses, for example a coach or vehicle hire company - although perhaps the larger operations use backpack cleaners or similar. Back to my days of working in retail, this type of thing would have be great for cleaning racks and shelving.

Cute idea, nice science too, but the test here again is usefullness.  It's rechargable and that's not bad so it might be good for light dusting above the floor -- tops of window frames and cornices -- if you're the fussy type.

As with a few rechargable vacs I've seen in past, Black and Decker for one, an electrically run brush roll might be slightly hepful but would up the ante as regards drain on the battery by shortening worthwhile runtime.  A small nozzle is the ticket in that you probably want to concentrate its already low suction for a better result.

That in mind, the same as $100 blenders, it's just too expensive for its purpose.  You can get equal results at far less a price.

It does look a bit expensive for a cordless hand held vac, and bigger than the others on the market!  Be interesting to see how less it does and how good it performs!

I personally like to use the hose with an attachment on a normal size vac for cleaning the car etc... more power and better result!

I would have preferred them to have produced a corded hand held vac! Not that we have many of them here in the UK!

It looks very interesting.  I will try one as soon as I can get to one.  However, I think I am going to wait for the price to go down before I think about getting one.

I think it is pretty ugly... maybe unique is a more appropriate word.  I can't believe it doesn't have a spinning brushroll!

It has a commercial look to it. Like something you can take out to the garage and vacuum up nuts and bolts.
