See, this is what I cannot stand about that man, and the company that bears his name.

Interestingly, despite the "ruling" the new Electrolux Intensity claims both verbally and in writing that it has 50 percent more suction than the leading vacuum brand by dollar sales. I wonder what brand Electrolux is referring to?

I'm guessing that this originates from Europe, not the USA.
Does truth in advertising exist acress the pond ? or is this an oxy-moron.
IMO, advertising truth here in the states, is nigh non-existent..
As a child, I expected the truth, as an old adult, I do not even expect it...
And, if Dyson is engineered and built in England - is it any better than the old English cars ??
Rover, Triumph, Austin, MG, Jaguar, even Rolls and Bentley..
Is having a root canal easier than buying a new vacuum cleaner ??

Having a root canal is easier than picking out the right vacuum. T he only problem with the dental work is it's 5 times more money and doesn't clean half as well

Earthworm,
Dyson may be designed in U.K. but is made in Malaysia.

This post will have no sugar coating, eureka,a.b. electrolux, miele, bosch, riccar, dyson, and many others better stop whats going on, or they will go the route of HOOVER.
stop making this JUNK,and get back to quality.
There is plenty of money for everyone in this business, if they would just do things the right way.
I'm sorry Carmine,Mike, Tiger21. But i had to get this off my chest.
there are very few of us left............................

Hello Tiger21:
And, if I'm not mistaken, dysons are produced by "outsourced" contractors and subs and not dyson employees. Dyson owns the Malaysian plant but the workers are contractors who bid on the work/business and then are hired to do the work. Slave labor without the guilt.

Hello O.T. :
Don't be sorry. From 1949 to 1991 in the vacuum cleaner business as an independent store owner and operator. I feel your pain. In the 60's when HOOVER was making overtures to the big box retailers to mass market their floorcare products, and of course we would learn at the expense of the small vacuum store independents, I said it was the beginning of the end. Not just for HOOVER but the vacuum industry as a whole. I liked to think I was wrong then. Why? Because it was my livelihood. I was in the business. I'd like to think that I'm still wrong today. Why? For all who are still in the vacuum business today and will be in the future.
