So... you first. Go ahead and watch the jaw-dropping, radical Red Fusion (and Fusion rebadging) HSN demos and report your findings... Is Red conning or is Red not conning. I’ll follow up.

It's simple. Did each machine have the same opportunity to perform? Was there anything artificial about the comparison that would not be relevant to normal usage? Did they pick a test condition that obviously favored one brand over the other? If you recall, I criticized the Shark Navigator ad for clogging the pleated filters in the Hoover before doing the suction comparison. The emptied the dirt canister, but were very careful to dislodge the caked on dirt from the filters. This is an unfair comparison because in normal use, the person emptying the Hoover would also tap the filter to remove the caked on dirt - or possibly even use a paint brush to remove the dirt. This was a blatant attempt to reduce the performance of the Hoover.
