Purchased for 04-05 winter. My first snowblower. I have a steep long driveway. It seemed the most cost-effective solution. Puchased at a local hardware store. Very effective and throws snow 30'-50'. However, there seems to be a design flaw. Used in 4 storms. Twice the tension spring for the drive mechanism has been sheared disabling all forward and reverse gears.

Pros:

Throws snow long distance.
Wide and high "bite".

Cons:

Drive mechanism fails repeatedly.

i have used this machine in powder, normal and slush conditions. in powder it throws the snow about 50'. in normal snow(snowball making) it throws about 35'. in slush it throws about 10'.
i have had end of driveway piles up to 3' and in 1st gear the machine gets the job done.
