mtd snowblower 8/26 for parts or trade?
#1   Aug 9, 2008 11:35 am
I have a track drive MTD 8/26 for parts. I bought it for the motor to use on another project but it has the wrong shaft.... The only thing wrong with it is that the crappy aluminum gearbox is blown. If you have a spare gearbox, you could fix this up no problem. The motor runs excellent. it is an 8.5 hp tecumseh with electric start and an alternator. It has the stepped shaft. The transmission, tracks and drive system work great as well. I will trade for a running 1" shaft motor or $50. call mike at (857) 526 - six, zero, five, nine

Check out this dinasaur...
Chain driven auger.
Anybody know anything about it. It looks like a Lambert which was the JC Penny snowblower  in the 1960's. Not much info online.

Oh Yeah....
And my personal opinion is a tecumseh over a briggs and day of the week.
Based not on torque, special features or price, but on the engines that I have serviced in the past.
My personal favorite is the trusty work horse L-Head engine.
