I purchased the 924DLE last year. It is a horrible machine with chute controls that barely function. Very loud, hard to start and leaves that nice quarter inch of snow on the drive that ices up later. Would never consider it again. I get sick to my stomach thinking about it because I know with winter coming I will have to deal with it all over again. Buy the Toro.

I see that Toro is now making the 828 with the Briggs &amp; Stratton engine (as Tecumseh no longer makes such small engines).  My local store will have both models available for this year.   Any thoughts on which would be a better choice?  Other than the engines, the products appear exactly the same.  Toro rep just told me that there is company which has taken over for supplying any replacement parts for the Tecumseh.</p><p>http://www.toro.com/home/snowthrowers/gastwostage/828oxe.html</p><p>http://www.toro.com/intl/ca_en/home/snowthrowers/gastwostage/828lxe.html</p><p>I've read that Tecumseh is generally a better engine; however, I've also read that the OHV is generally better than the L-series (more fuel efficient, quieter, and better wearing).  Confusing.

Try giving it a sprinkle of mixed gas in the carb inlet then see if it fires when you pull it .. Try to isolate the problem to see if it's a fuel/carb or a ignition problem.&amp;lt;BR&amp;gt;&amp;lt;BR&amp;gt;Good luck,&amp;lt;BR&amp;gt;&amp;lt;BR&amp;gt;Friiy&lt;BR&gt;
