Toro 828OXE vs Toro 828LXE - snowblower
Original Message   Aug 17, 2009 10:37 am
I see that Toro is now making the 828 with the Briggs & Stratton engine (as Tecumseh no longer makes such small engines).  My local store will have both models available for this year.   Any thoughts on which would be a better choice?  Other than the engines, the products appear exactly the same.  Toro rep just told me that there is company which has taken over for supplying any replacement parts for the Tecumseh.

I've read that Tecumseh is generally a better engine; however, I've also read that the OHV is generally better than the L-series (more fuel efficient, quieter, and better wearing).  Confusing.

A better choice would be Toro 828OXE. I'm using it and really satisfied. echo backpack blower
