What are your thoughts on putting chains on snowblowers. I have an 8hp Ariens and thought they might help on hills. This site is great, actually the people using it make it great. Thanks for your help on a previous problem.

I put chains on almost everything in the winter, my tractors, my truck, and if I could find a set to fit, I'd put them on my car  . My driveway is gravel, except in the winter when it is ice  . I'm tried of getting stuck in my own driveway, so about 8 years ago, I bought chains for the truck (the tractors already had them) I've even got chains for my Troy-Bilt tiller for when I use the front blade. I guess you could say I'm in favor of having tire chains on all things, because it beats the heck out of digging out stuck equipment.
