Part or model number for Ariens Snow Cab
Original Message   Mar 13, 2005 1:44 am
I can't for the life of me find on the web or in these forums the part or model number for Ariens Snow Cab. Does anyone know and how much should it cost?

Thanks again,
Brian

Does anyone know where I can get this cab for less than MSRP ($189)?

Looks like I may get to use my machine for the first time! For those that don't remember or are new, I picked up a Ariens 8526 at the end of the season last year...LET IT SNOW!!!

Hi Fred,

I did that already but they only had a "universal" cab. How are they compared to the real Ariens version? I was looking at the $80 version with more room...

HD and Northern Tool sell a universal cab but to the best of my knowledge they don't really sit well at all. It will get the job done but it’s big and the universal hardware it comes with is just poor design. The one pictured on ARIENS website looks alot better.

Brian,
I bought one last year for my Ariens.....almost bought it from that website, but actually I got a better deal  just ordering it from my local  ariens dealer......my local dealer charged me $160 plus tax for it.
If you get one it comes with instructions.......good quality product, but a would almost throw away the instructions....WAY easier putting it together ON THE SNOWBLOWER rather then putting it together and then attaching it to the blower last, as they say to do.

I saw an Arien's snow cab on Ebay. The seller says it fits all models. That can't be true as the locations of the light and  chute control vary from model year.

I am thinking of a cab for my 1128DLE as my home in PA is on top of a small mountain and the  20MPH wind hardly ever stops. It is even worse at 10 degrees! BRRRR

I wonder what the negatives are when owning a cab?

The picture is of an Original Tractor Cab. These are not sold through Ariens (never were). You could get them from an Ariens dealer though. The Ariens cab is a different cab (part number listed above). Better in my opinion, but a bit too wide.
