I was cleaning out my garage yesterday, had everything out in the open. A man walking by, stopped and then came up my drive and said he needed a snowblower for his place in West Virgina. Seems he was snowed in for 3 days, when we had the blizzard in January . Said he had a 300 foot long driveway at his WV place and had to wait 3 days for a guy to come and plow him out. Said he had 3 to 4 foot drifts. Turns out, he was an Emergency room MD and a Ski fanatic., works 4 to 12 at the local hospital. He offered me $800.00 for my 10.5 MTD blower, I said sold! He left and was back in 30 minutes with a truck and $800.00 cash!! So my blower is gone. I think this should be a good time to buy or order a new one!!! Fred

I just talked to my local OPE dealer who handles Husqvarna snowblowers. He has a one Husqvarna 9027STE-XP has an (9 HP Tec OHV engine with electric start, which he would sell to me for $1000.00. My question is, shoud I buy it or wait till this fall and buy the 10527STE, which has the Tec 10.5HP L head on it for $1000 or a Toro 1028LXE?? ? ? Please give me your thoughts! Fred

Many great choices you've put forward. Well, when it comes to engines, they will all run basically the same due to the carburetors and you know I'm not impressed with any of them. That Husky is going to be tough to beat for that price not to mention it has all the same controls as the Toro. The actual difference is that the Toro control features are much easier to manipulate than any other snowblower made today. If you haven't actually gone to look at one, please do so before you make any final decisions. As for waiting until fall of 2005 to purchase the 10 HP Husky, that I wouldn't do and you won't notice a difference between the engines, not to mention you're going to pay more for it. For $250.00 less than I paid for my machine, the 9027 can still catch my eye.

Gang, I bought a Husky 9027 STE-XP snowblower this spring for $1000.00. I have not blown any snow with it yet!! It's a 9 HP OHV, 27 in cut. However, I would put it up against any other blower for ease of use!! Squeeze the right trigger, right wheel stops and blower turns a very sharp sharp turn to the right. Same on a left turn. It has infinate speed control, slow as you want or fast as you want! It weighs 257 pounds!! If any of you folks are looking for a decent blower at a decent price, buy the Husky!Il l'll write a reviev this October, when snow blowers become hot!!! If Husky lawnmowers are great, why should this snow blower be any different from there quality ????? Fred
