i change the engine on the john derre 826snow blower i'm using a techemseh engine 8.5 hp can i use the old belts or do i have to get a techemseh belts or email me at devsmets@aol.com thank you thanks jim

Try putting on the old belts, and see how it runs. And no, Tecumseh does not make belts, just engines. 

was the old engine a tecumseh? if yes? the old belts should work fine unless pulley is different which is unlikely... if its another motor than most likely u will need new belts sizes..
