I have been looking on CL (out of state) and stumbled upon this machine but he wants 2200.00..... One of my boss' is interested. Then today I found a 928 tracked Honda five years old as well and he is asking 1950 but is interested in a trade and cash for my Toro. When I asked why he is selling it guy said he is too tall and that the Honda is uncomfortable??? Not sure of the Honda's height .......or even the truth. What is a fair cash offer including my 826OXE?? I'm 5'9" and find my HS928TA to be fairly comfortable for me (could be a bit higher though) but I could understand where a taller operator would find the standard handle height uncomfortable.Honda sells a handle extension kit that increases the handle height a bit for taller operators. I'd offer the 826OXE (at a presumed value of $ 800.00) and another $ 800.00 cash. IMO, used OPE should sell for 1/2 to 1/3 (or somewhere in between) the value of current or comparable OPE. Knowing the previous owner and their maintenance habits/OPE type of useage is bonus points and could add/subtract $$$ to the buying price. Having this knowledge definitely increases/decreases the value accordingly.
Toro Wheel Horse 522xi GT, Honda HS928TA, Honda HS621AS, Honda HS520A, Toro CCR3000 (work in progress), Honda HS624WA (sold 08/23/2010), Stihl BR550 Backpack Blower, Stihl MS250, McCulloch MS1635, Honda EM6500SX Generator

Isn't having one boss one too many?
Tell me about it, CEO, executive VP, VP manufacturing, VP production to name a few......
He mentioned a grand plus my machine, there is no way imo that its fair. He purchased it last year so at the least he is the secnond owner. The main issue is he is 150 miles away which adds another 150 (gas and tolls) nevermind probably 3 hours each way so I think this is a no go. If I knew more about the machine I would be all over it, dont think I will get another chance to trade a blower and cash for a Honda JMHO. Nevermind not sure how I am going to like the tracks having such a small property.....
