Picking up Toro CCR2000 Original Message Nov 8, 2011 7:31 pm
I found a mint Toro CCR2000 for a reasonable price and will be picking it up this Thursday. I will post some pictures on Friday. Hopefully this is a good machine.

Bottom Line: The boring pig (myself) bought a 2012 Honda HS520. It was easy for my son and wife to start and use it. I did look at HS621 but $350 + another $125 for new rubbers did not seem right. I thought about buying a Toro but in the end I could not do it since I had a really bad experience with a Toro lawnmower not starting. The Honda dealer located about 5 miles from my house gave me a 10% discount for being a veteran so it was reasonable. I know I am boring.
You're being too hard on yourself.
I wouldn't call that boring, more likely to be analytical, if anything. I'm sure you weighed out everything to arrive at the decision.

No ill intended.
The HS520 is new for about the same price as an older HS621 with new paddles. Makes sense to go with the new one with a 3 year warranty. The HS621 will always be more expensive to operate over time, the wearable parts are more costly.

Congratulations on your new purchase. You will not get disappointed. It is a Honda. As aa335 said, rubber paddles, scraper etc for HS520 are cheaper than HS621's.It is a brand new machine.
