Which engine? Briggs& Stratton 205 or LCT Storm Force 208
Original Message   Oct 9, 2011 11:49 pm
I need to get a snow blower for my church. I am looking at a Ariens  Compact  22 and 24. Quality wise they are the same. I only question the engines. Ariens offers the same warranty for both units. The power ratings are very close. What do you guys think?  Two inches is not a big deal for me size wise. I know Briggs have been around a wile. I'm  questioning LCT.  Has anyone used a LCT engine? I want to know the good, bad and ugly with them. Our old snow blower is a1965 Toro  single stage .  It has a chain to drive the auger and wheels and a dog clutch.

Let me ask you something, you sure you want such a narrow machine? Do you have alot of area to clean? May want to consider something a little wider. I guess anything is better then the mid 60's toro but this thing has to go another 50 years why not do it "rite"?

Thanks for the reply . We only need it to do our sidewalks.  We contract the parking lot during the heavy snow days
