good question! I called husqvarna and asked, the answer is: Chain drive "is" Friction disc. they jut call it chain drive. I guess chain drive is easier to understand than "radial platter torque generator / speed reduction encabulator" I'm still trying to figure out what is a turbo encabulator is. Anybody seen David?

Maybe it just means a chain drives the friction plate instead of a belt?
Maybe it means they use chains and sprockets for final gear reductions instead of gears?
Need more info. Nothing unusual here: , 2 belts in front as usual, one for impeller, the other for the disc drive,
Uses chains and sprockets for reductions.

So mvedepo, were you thinking of buying this? aa335 pointed out the peculiar auger size, on average most newer snow blower intakes are 21" and the augers look to be about half the size, so I'm guessing they're 11" augers with a 12" impeller? Checked out their site and it's kind of annoying when you go to spec's and all you get is a bullet or "Yes" for some of the items that should show an actual measurement. Anyhow, looks like an okay machine...
