Any common brand 5W30.  Synthetics not necessary.

5w 30   make sure you change it after your first 30 min. then every 25 hours after that. Make sure you check it every day and run stabil in the gas.

I had the dealer instal B&S 5w30 synthetic when I purchased my Toro, and according to the manual your supposed to change it after the first 5 hours. But its not bad to change it after the first 1/2 hour like stated.
