Last years new models ST27LE's had a recall kit installed rite from the Ariens factory because of a fire hazard they were catching fire and there was a recall on them I no if you bought a 2009 model you already have it I seen the recall they had and I contacted Ariens about that matter they asked what year was on mines I said it said 2009 they said it was done while being made at the essmbly line. So anyone with that model may want to check into that?

Nonsense. This was a Briggs recall from 2007. Your unit was never affected.
