I had my HS624WA for 10 years and never changed the hydro fluid. I had asked a tech about it one time when I was at the dealership and he said you don't need change it unless you're having a problem. The worst thing you can do is get any kind of dust or debris in the tranny which I was told was one reason not to mess with it unless needed. Not saying this is the correct answer but I estimate I had about 350 - 400 hours on mine and never had any problems. I never had to add any fluid (top off) to the resevoir either - it was always very stabile once it got warmed up. You'll notice fluctuations in the fluid level when it's cold (looks low) but don't panic because it just needs to warm up a bit. Once warmed up it will go to the proper level indicated on the resevoir container.

I've never changed mine in 7 years and was told that the most important thing was to check the oil level at the beginning of each season. Don't fill outside and allow any dirt to get in. Clean the outside of the bottle before you use it as dist/dirt could fall in as you add oil. I don't recall the dealer telling me to change it. It isn't like motor oil that has to be changed due to the heat, breaking down the oil etc.
