I have a three years old Ariens St 724 E that i have a difficult time separating the bucket from the tractor.

Every Time i split the two,the bucket jumps off the tractor, and I'm left with the bucket sitting on the ground.

I don't know if this model is different from all others in that the bucket just rests in two slots in the tractor, and when i separate the two,the bucket just rotates in the slots, and  jumps off.   I only separate the two parts enough to to get my hand in to adjust/change the belts.

Sure could use some wisdom here.

 Hi Snowman,

Thanks for your reply.    My snow blower is model # 932046 , spec #72560

I'll check that out next time.

The way i was doing it was to push the bucket up against a set of stairs, and rotate the tractor back just enough to get my hand into the pulley/belt area while supporting the handles on a saw horse.

Hopefully the bottom cover non removal was the problem.
