Knock on wood but I've had my HS624WA for 10 years now and have never had any major problems. I change the engine oil and spark plug every year and do a preventative maintenance check on all moving parts. I've replaced the bucket skids several times, the scraper blade once and maybe a 8 or so shear pins over the years. If I had to guess, I would say that I average about 15 - 20 hours/year. Like any other equipment, if you take care of it and use it as it was designed to be used you should not have any major problems other than regular maintenance.
