Snowblower Care: Bucket and Chute lubricants
Original Message   Dec 15, 2009 9:20 am
O.K. gang, tackling one of the age old questions. What is a good lubricant or protectant for the business end of a cnowblower. The one that I bought, and have nto yet used, was coated with spray cooking oil, I have also heard of spray waxes, seen a few spray teflon items, also have heard of people using WD-40 liberally,

Does any make more sense than another, or are they all pretty much useless and not needed?

Doug

I use automobile wax (Turtle Wax) on the inside of the chute. The snow doesn't stick to the sides. It's a good idea to apply a coat of wax to the metal painted surfaces of the snowblower as well.
